How to Join the LANA Lipizzan Association
MEMBERSHIP FORM
The Lipizzan Association of North America (“LANA”) membership year runs from July 1 through June 30th of each year. There are two membership categories:
$45.00 for Lipizzan owners -- includes individuals and corporations.
$15.00 for Friends of the Lipizzan -- for those young horse enthusiasts of any age or individuals who do not own a Lipizzan. Includes newsletter only. You may upgrade to full membership at any time during the year by submitting an additional $30.
Full membership includes several benefits unavailable to the “Friends” category. In addition to receiving the quarterly publication, the Haute Ecole, full members also receive the Membership Directory which includes all forms, Rules and Regulations and membership listing, as well as the opportunity to attend any and all Board and annual meetings. Since inception, LANA has never charged its members a surcharge or additional fees to offset the costs of attending annual meetings held around the country.
Membership fees are used for office supplies (stamps, paper, envelopes, the beautiful pedigree forms); printing (newsletters, directories, merchandise, sales lists, brochures, fees flyers, membership mailings, and pedigrees); internet (homesite costs); promotions (at horse expos Equine Affaire, the Hoosier Horse Fair, Equitana USA, EqWest); merchandise (books, videos and DVDs, prints, afghans); dues (LIF, AHSA); awards (Dressage at Devon Breed Classes, USDF All Breed Awards and other shows held throughout the year around the country; business calls (DNA, advertising contracts); publishing (printing, copyright and ISBN fees for studbooks and American Lipizzan history).
None of the above is free. Your dues help produce not only the quarterly newsletters, directory, and the beautiful pedigrees you receive personally, but they also help maintain the North American Lipizzan database, which is the only database/studbook recognized and accepted by the LIF for this country and continent!
